Thanks to Clyne Faction, I managed to figure out what Lacus really means.

As I have found on Clyne Faction, Lacus means lake in Latin. I don't remember what site Ayumi figured it out on, but ya.

I have also discovered that Meer's name means lake in German. Maybe that's why the creator decided to have her name like that. =S
