Athrun Zala and Lacus Clyne
This relationship has got to be the longest out of all the Gundam Seed series. Their fathers made
arrangements for them to be married, making Athrun Lacus' fiance. Athrun wasen't to creative on giving Lacus presents, which
is probably the only known thing she likes about him. Athrun did at one point fall in love with Lacus, but by then it was
too late, for she had left him to be with Kira. ^^ Shortly after, Athrun started to gain feelings with Cagalli, and in Gundam
Seed Destiny, he asked Cagalli to marry him on his own will. Lacus tried to comfort Athrun's hardened heart, and tried to
reasure him that Kira has taken good care of her, and that he haden't changed since the two boys were children.

Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne
Lacus had ended up on the Archangel because they took in her lifepod.
Kira watched over her, and cared for her while she was there, just to ensure that she wasen't endangered. He then learned
that Athrun was to be part of Lacus' life one day, but that soon changed. Lacus had taken her path to Kira, who's heart was
split with Fllay. Lacus didn't care though, all she wanted to do was be with him. Lacus was declared a spy for giving Kira
the Freedom, and she helped him realize that being a Coordinator isn't all that bad. Once Fllay had died at the end of the
series, Lacus was pretty glad that Kira still had her, and that they could spend the rest of their lives together as one.
